Bearing savers for DeGraff trailer

As per the thread title, anyone know where I can get b/savers for a 1300kg DeGraff. I think they are Alko hubs, but not sure of the exact spec of the hubs.

If they're Alko hubs, with 'sealed' (SFL) bearings, then bearing savers won't do you any good. If you're not sure, pop the dust cap off and if you've got a big, gold nut, with no split pin, it's likely you have SFL bearings, so save your pennines.

If you have normal bearings (when you pop the dust cap you'll see a normal, castellated nut, with a split pin through it) then you'll need to measure the inside diameter of the drum boss (the bit the dust cap fits in to), accurately and then go hunting.

Drop a post up, if you get stuck. All the best.

DeGraff don't use any SFL bearings. I have a 1300kg Degraff too fitted with bearing savers but can't have a look for you as I am away at the moment.

I replaced my brake shoes recently and they were knott parts (203*40) but I notice the bearing seal number for the drums comes up on trailer tek as for peak 200 drums which may be a clue. What do you think Trailer Guy?

It is probably worth ringing Arthur at DeGraff with the serial of your trailer and he will point you in the right direction I'm sure.

Mark.

Definitely taper bearings, they currently get stripped and greased very regularly. I ordered some b/savers from Indespension but they didn't fit
I'll measure at the weekend and put the dimensions on here.

Try giving them a call, Arthur doesn't strike me as an email kind of guy.

If Peak I think diameter is 50.73mm? Something like that. They're deffo out there. £30ish a pair I'd have thought.

All the best.

A list of Bearing Buddy bore sizes for the US (I'd assume it's pretty standard on your side as well):

WelcomE to Bearingbuddy.com
