I can tell you from Los Angeles to 50 miles east of NYC it was $3600 if that helps.

Thanks for the heads up 007. I would snatch this thing up if I were closer. Since I'll need a trailer for it anyways, I was wondering if it would be cheaper to make the drive and trailer it home. Road trip!

Assuming 2700 miles x 2 = 5400 miles

5400 / 12 mpg vehicle = 450 gallons of fuel consumed

450 * $3.75 gallon average assuming medium unleaded = $1687.50

Soo I guess if you have the time and a vehicle that isnt leased that gets 12 mpg or better you could cut the number in half.

FWIW - we just did a trrip like this from NY to Fla to pick up a larger inflatable.
In addition to the gas you end up with costs for tolls, food and sleeping in some cases.
Then we had to have the 4 days in a row to pull if off.
I would say it costs just about double the gas bill with two drivers along plus your time as a guess.
