SOLD- 2007 Ocean Tech 7m, 60hrs, new sponsons in Georgia

Hello, I have a 2007 Ocean Technologies 7 Meter rib for sale with only 60 hours and new sponsons. This boat was hardly used by the US military. It was stored indoors with the trailer and is in really nice condition. The sponsons were replaced in December of 24'. The boat runs like new. I have installed a 2025 Simrad GO9GSE 9" MFD, Chart Plotter/fish finder. Powered by Stery 236 monoblock diesel paired with a Mercruiser Bravo 2 outdrive. The trailer was made for the boat and also looks new. It has cutouts in the bunks for hoisting the boat. I replaced all 4 tires about 5 months ago with really nice Carlisle HD tires. I love the boat but I had purchased it to use as a tender for our 53' Navigator that has since been salvaged. So I really don't have a use for it. Willing to ship. I have all the books from new. Located in Buford, GA. Willing to transport. Asking $38k

Who built the sponson for you?? The Steyr isn't my favorite choice for these boats, but I love the diesels!

The sponsons were built and installed by Inflatable Marlin Services in Fort Lauderdale. They are really nicely done. I wasn't knowledgeable on the Steyr when I was looking at buying the boat. However, I talked with a dealer support person in CA and he spoke highly of them. I learned that it's a monoblock. The head and block are all one. No head gasket to fail. He explained that it's a high reving diesel unlike others out there. The benefit is that you get gasoline reving performance with diesel economy and reliability. I was also told by the Military fleet manager in Norfolk that the 7 meter specs are that basically the boat needs to hold 9k lbs and do 35kts. This one has a big prop for pulling and likes to cruise at 25 to 30mph sog. I would imagine you can swap out he prop and really move.

Those Steyr engines are actually good units & coupled with the bravo drive make for relatively low cost maintenance compared to other engine/ drive combinations. Generally folk who turn their nose up at them dont actually know what they are, only that they are a bit "different" but theres nothing inherently wrong with them

There is no delete facility for your thread, it is not required.

It is sufficient to have added a final post "RIB now sold thanks". However on this occasion I have added an extra layer by editing the header to begin "SOLD".

If you feel any action is required regarding future posts please click the "Report Post" red triangle to the left of the post and an Admin will resolve.
