Jones Act violation if the operator is traveling from a US port.

SRMNs are manufactured in Spain for greater than 51% of the construction.

I know the Jones Act is a confusing law Richard, but you are misinformed.

Bare boat charters are exempt from the Jones Act, and that is why you don't see me, or my 100 ton license onboard. You relinquish ownership and client assumes liability of the vessel, (see attached explanation of the Jones Act clause that addresses bare boat charter.)

I saw "eco tours" and immediately assumed that it was a captained vessel... glad to see I was wrong! No one deserves a USCG visit.

There's some weird laws on the books here.

One of my personal favorites is "the Chicken Tax". France/W. Germany put a tax on US chicken imports, so we put a 25% import tax on potato starch, dextrin, brandy, and light trucks.
