It's normally pretty hard to rent a car with one, but you can normally get either a 4x4 or a van quite easily!

It's worth making sure anything you hire is insured to tow as well if it's not specified.

Have checked with major van rentals and none of them offer towbar.

Try SHB 4x4 hire? They may be able to deliver it to Gatwick.

Hi Bogi

This lot have a Mitsubishi Shogun with a tow bar which can be delivered to Gatwick, but it doesn't come cheaply: http://www.affordablerentals.co.uk/Main/index.htm

you could try these guys...
http://www.gttowing.co.uk/
they used to hire out a landrover 90 or 110 for towing.
probably won't deliver to Gatwick, but it's not such a difficult train journey from south london to just outside north london

4 x 4 Hire Maidstone.

bogib,

Another one for you.

Trident Trailers in Maidstone have 2 or 3 4x4's for hire.

They have a website.

www.tridenttrailers.com

Good luck,

Moose.

I would go with SHB or Burnt tree.

http://www.shb.co.uk/

http://www.burnt-tree.co.uk/

Problem is that they may not offer insurance at all - last time I tried to hire from SHB they said - you have to use your own - that was about 3 yrs ago!!!
