My new TOWING weapon of choice!

Its been a long time looking, but at last I have 1999 T reg mica green Subaru Impreza 2000 turbo (wagon), completley standard just as I wanted (except for indicators and prodrive backbox) - it has a removeable towbar too! oh and the all important AWD!

I'm going to wash it for the first time today in my lunchbreak,

anyway I wont bang for on ages, people here that might have owned one can vouch for the boxer engine, its genius!

Now time to flog the other cars and get me some TUBES!!

I had a Subaru. It ended up known as the Clown Car because bits kept falling off it. It repeatedly broke down, and each time cost almost enough to make it worth just throwing the car away. Probably the most expensive motoring I have ever done.

Still, I'm sure yours will be a paragon of virtue!

John

Won't an Impreza with tubes on it look a bit odd?

Interesting to see you have the estate version - they actually handle slightly better than the saloon due to a slightly longer wheelbase.

They are stunning to drive but they feel very flimsy to me - wouldn't fancy a prang in one - unless it's got a full cage fitted!!!

I had one you'll love it but make sure it's been serviced,

I've got a set of roof bars you can have if you pm me a delivery address

P.S. towing I'd get 11 to the gallon

James

Nice one Olly.

Bring it to Church and we will get that nice lady in pink to sprinkle it with Holy Water for luck.

I remember what me and a mate did to an 1800 Subaru pickup. Surprisingly good offroad til we got it stuck on the edge of an old railway cutting

Giz a go?

Olly

Thats Nice.

I had a Legacy Turbo estate for a few years that towed my 4M Flatacraft around no problem.

By the way, don't even dream about trying to get the plugs out without the special plug spanner. I made one that you can have if you need it.
Also a puller for the crankshaft pulley for when the oil seal goes, and a locking block for the Camshafts for when I replaced the cam belt.

Nasher.

great car - mate's got same one in green that he tows a big boston whaler with...whilst they're not as luxurious as german cars internally, there's not much out there that'll be as fun to drive and be able to tow a rib without spending ten times as much on a motor.
