Sorry she had to go mate, I know how you were so fond of her......

Biffer's truck is up for sale And my D2 too when I can find a replacement, but she purrs like a kitten with 183k on the clock

Have a look at a couple of D2's if you can. Lots for your money Or L200's

I had a 57' D40 Navara, and I got it at about 40K miles, fitted the towbar, and then pulled my little 5mtr 50hp rib about and at about 60k the clutch failed (£1700.00). A basic service was around the £700.00.

The 4x4 system isn't the best for general usage, as it locks the diffs - so using low range on a slip way wasn't an option.

The final straw was the 4x4 light coming up on the dash, so it had to go.

Hi Stu ,

Sorry to hear that your Nissan has gone .. Liked it !
Beside of the SR that was another thing we had in common - old but reliable 4x4 . Hope my G class will still make it for many years !
Did you decide already for the Navara ?
I made recently here in Kiev a test drive with an VW AMAROK and was pleasantly surprised ! This pickup was far the best I have ever driven !
suspension / comfort is not "truck" like and this little 2 liter turbo engine is very economical .
The one I tried was the 140hp variant . for normal use not bad but I guess loaded or with a trailer on the hook It could have more punch .
Here VW offers the same engine with twin turbo and 180hp - as installed among others in many VW vans .
So - hope when we meet in Cornwall in summer you'll have already your new car !
