Pulling my deck cover

I’m trying to pull my deck cover. The previous owner may have glued the deck down with sealant. What would I scrape the sealant out of the grove without damaging the coating?

Might be best to cut through the sealant with s razorblade then carefully pry it up.

i just did this. it takes time and patients. take out as much of the sealent as you can see. then i used a long razor knife. bit by bit. i used a putty knife and even a chisel. Look for a spot that might not have as much sealent to start at. Once i was able to slip the blade through i would apply light pressure up and continue with a blade. start at a corner but take your time. once the seal s broken it isnt too bad as long as you do little at a time. there is a good inch where the cover rests on the sill so if u can get a blade that far it aint too bad. good luck.
