A RYA Powerboat Instructor can instruct the RYA Powerboat Level 1 and RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses at a RYA Recognised Training Centre.

A major feature of the course is looking at how Coastal Navigation up to Powerboat Level 2 is taught to beginners at a satisfactory level in as little time as possible.
Pilotage and Passage planning has to be taught on RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses.
