Bogi,

Put me out of my misery is this the Sonim XP4? uprated version of the hotly debated XP3?

No, this is not Sonim phone.
Can´t wait myself to get hold of the samples to try them out, what is described on spec sheet is promising, doubt it will be cheap phone.... still waiting for prices.

samsung b2100

hey I still think the samsung b2100 is best for a rib!!

i've dropped mine , gone swimming with it and been out to see at -22 degrees !!! almost every wave that came over momenteraly froze on my dry suite and on my phone wich i carry just on a neckband!!! hey the phone still works!!! besides it only cost 347 pln incl. 22% vat thats about 75 pounds!!! with 22% vat. the battery last me about 3 full days ... but i use the phone a lot. when not working it can even last upto a week. The amount of time the torch has come in handy is unbelievable. it definetaly gets the thumbs up from me!!! and when i finaly manage to destroy it i am definetaly buying another one.
Going out again tommorrow on a new build that i am working on a 9meter Parker Baltic with twin qsd 2.8 230hp engines... it's gonna be close to - 18 degrees tommorow will post some pics!!! might even get some of frozen me and phone ;-)

link too youtube add.... it does what bthey say ;-)

Bogib,

Have they arrived yet? I'm onto handset number 4 from Sonim. None of the faults relate to units robustness. I cannot really reccomend the Sonim XP3 to anyone.

Have to agree Samsung B2100 has been a good buy for me. Been soaked on many occasions, dropped a few times and for the money it cost I to will certainly be replacing mine with another B2100.
