VHF Mounting

Just bought a hand held VHF mostly for use on my RIB and wondered if anyone has a good way of locating it on the consol?

I clip it to my lifejacket (mine's waterproof).

That way if I go in, I can still yell for help.

Winch pocket or hook and loop (Velcro). Done both - both work.

I have mine on me at all times (see Nos's comment). Other than that velcro is good; I use it for my h/h GPS on my jet ski.

Thanks all. That gives me a few ideas to play with. I am thinking along the lines of Velcro/bungee/a strap or whatever at the moment.

.....and it looks great too, if you re-name the boat "Domestos" or "Harpic" it will even look as if you had it custom made

I clip mine to LJ as well as have one on the console ...

However when I jumped in a couple of weeks ago it came unclipped due to water pressure and the fact it floats - luckily I have a lanyard but if you do use this methed I'd suggest try it out and see where the radio ends up and how easily or otherwise you can get it off the strap .
