Transducer temp sensor wrong

My Garmin 451s shows temp being 22C which is clearly wrong.

Any ideas why this may be?

warm it with a heat gun or cool it with cold/ice water. Does the temp sensor respond at all?

I've found that temperature sensors are often haywire - we wanted to use the data in our TeamSurv project, but gave up when we saw how many boats had weird readings.

where is it mounted?

if it's internal to the unit - think of the inside of a car on a cold but sunny day...

RIBase
Is there a facility to apply an offset in the setup, this allows you to add a correction for an incorrect reading, it might already have one applied or might need one.
