To put your mind at rest a little bit, I checked on the gps newsgroups to see if anyone had had dealings with the company and from all accounts they are a very godd and relieable company,, just a bit streched with the responce to this deal.

ps I had a email friday saying mine was dispatched.

I can add further reassurance. I ordered one and received it after going mental for being charged for next day delivery and it not arriving after two days. It hadn't been dispatched at that point. 2 phone calls and a stroppy email and it was in the post that night. Turned up last sat - and it has been away with me on the west coast all week.

In terms of map detail it won't give you enough to get to individual harbours/beaches etc with the basic map but it had more detail than I expected.

So far very impressed.

It arrived 0800 saturday morn just as I was leaving for the Isles of Scilly .

Was great to have it on the boat and get some speed and direction info , just got to learn all about now but Iam impressed so far with the screen size and clarity etc .

email saying sent out friday,, gps arrived sat morning, not bad , as I live on the Outer Hebrides,, bloody good Only down point I have a old copy of Blue charts Atlantic,, 150 quid for the new one is a bit much as I only go about 20 miles away from home,, but it will not load onto the gps, it wants another licence number , looks like I will be forking out more cash soon.

but all in all a cracking set and worth a 100 quid of anyones money
