Thru' hull on an O-Pro / Attaque?

Well, almost. It's granddad, which doesn't have a well.

I have trawled the transom mount transducer posts, and am happy about the positioning of a transom mount 'ducer on the transom. Having sdaid that, an internal mounting would be a lot neater & less vulnerable.

It struck me that the only place inside the hull for it that doesnlt have an internal chamber in the way would be the corner where the slopey bit of the floor meets the flat. I have the nagging feeling that bit is out the water when on the plane. (problem is if I go back to check, the stern drops, so I can never get a decent look and it is always in the water when I go aft.....)

So, has anyone tried gooping their transducer in that corner? If so, did it work?
