Power pause

When I plug in the fuse next to our battery, there is a pause of about 5-10 seconds before power reaches the instruments, pump etc.

What could cause this?

Hmmm. You sure?

Perhaps the equipment has a power-on delay built into it?

Throw a meter on the accessory power and see if it's the fuse/wiring causing it. If it is, I would start suspecting corrosion in your connections somewhere (as a starrting point.)

The fuse itself is a conductor, so should not cause any delay.
