PC via USB to NMEA converter and program

Hi There

Has anyone come across a cheapish method of feeding GPS infomation into a VHF radio. i.e a GPS simulator on a PC. I quick search has shown a largish number of USB to RS232 converters but then there would be a requirement for a program to create the data.

Has anyone heard of such a thing.

Thanks

Gary

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do but this might do the trick. If not, they do allsorts of other gateways. I have their nmea multiplexer & it does what it says on the tin.

Get an old Garmin GPS17 aerial. Attach 12v to the power wires and you'll get NMEA 0183 GPS data out two others.
