northsrar/navman fuel flow meter

does anybody that has this fuel flow meter fitted know what the pulse setting is on there units. The units settings are from 1 to 30 and the default setting is 5. this setting is probably right for a 2 stroke engine, but with a four
stroke the fuel is pumped in longer pulses so i am lead to believe, so the setting should ideally be 10+to account for this, or is it going to be trial and error.and are these units pretty accurate.

Yes just choose a longer pulse - doesn't really matter - try 15. Better choose a longer one and back down from there if you want to.

Beware - the head units aren't very waterproof - not even rain proof in my case.

seems pretty accurate when it works.

cheers codders, Ill try it at 15 first, havent got the waterproof problem as it will run off the northstar m84 plotter,Ive allso got a wemmer analouge gauge fitted but the readings are way out, showing half when ive only used about 20ltrs on a 180ltr tank, which is the reason for the fuel flow meter.
