Memory Map, Navigator lite - tide tables

Hi all,

I have the above Map software on my PC and have noticed that the tide table information has stopped from 1 Jan.

Have looked on their site and nothing about it there !!!

Anyone else use their software and if so have you the same problem or a way to sort it out.

Paul

My software is still working OK
Have tested it up to 31st December 2020

I use PC Planner NT as my software combined with the C-MAP NT+ cartridges in a USB cartridge reader (why does "an USB reader" sound wrong??).

Do you mean the sound of it???
Probably because u often operates more like a y therefore more of a consonant than a vowel...probably horribly wrong!!!(my lickle theory!!!)

I think you are right.
It does always worry me though, that we are supposed to say " 'otel".
Do you? I don't, I say "hotel".

Technical post 2 by missus

I'm with you on that one too...h being a consonant. So 'a hotel' seems right to me. (I think I'm always right but no-one else ever agrees with me...)

Peculiar language English innit?
Missus

Never mind...someone will put me right...(they always do...but I don't think Richard B is up yet. He was up very late going on about C-Maps & stuff; he's probably having nightmares that he's being chased by a Navman...)

Hi brian
I was thinking of getting the PC planner but on my Hummingbird 25 (which uses C-map) it doesn't allow for uploading from the planner to the plotter of routes waypoints etc saved on an additional card. Still would have to be done manually, or at least thats the information I got.

So I opted for the maptech digital maps on the PC. Duplication I know, but I might get the planner when its time to upgrade the maps.

Paul ( not looking at grammar)

You can't upload on mine either. You still have to enter stuff manually when you get back to the boat.
This is supposed to be possible using a "user chip", but I know Mike Garside has been round this loop a few times with the manufacturers, but still cant get it to work yet.
Meanwhile, however, I get great fun out of doing all my route planning at home on the PC.
See http://www.biboa.com/cruising.htm for some detailed examples of my handywork.
As you can see this sort of thing is particularly useful if you wish to share routing information with others.

The link doesn't work but I know where on the site your talking about.

It's silly that the plotters are more difficult to use than a standard GPS system.

The maptech maps with the navagator software supplied does work as a gps plotter and is easy to use, but who in there right mind would bring their laptop on their rib . Mind you could with that nice cosy cabin on yours

I like doing a screen capture as a PDF file showing a visual route as well as the standard waypoint co-ord's as on the BOBOA site

Paul

http://www.biboa.com/~swcruise/waypoints.htm is the link your looking for I think

Navigator lite etc.

Hi, beside your present problem how do you rate your system. Would it do the following for me . Route plotting and planning, give tide data ie,streams, flows etc. Best time to depart etc, fuel calculations etc, etc. I would be grateful for any advice you may have. What type of device do you use to display your data etc.

Thanks and I hope you remedy your problem asap.
