M-Tech MT500 or SH GX1100

M-Tech MT500 or SH GX1100

Which one would you rather have on your boat?

A boat I bought had an mtech which got knocked (not particularly hard)bending the main push and turn control so it didn't work! I wouldn't mess with a budget one tbh.

Reason I ask is that the MTech is actually more expensive than the SH a lot of places!

GX1100 - 3 year warranty vs 12 months on MT500

Nothing in it functionality-wise.

Supplied plenty of both and actually had no reported problem with either.

If you can push a few more ££, go for GX1600E - bigger screen much easier to read in a hurry.

+1 and available for well under £200, not worth buggering about with the cheap stuff imho.

Only two makes to consider IMHO SH and Icom in no particular order.
