Lowrance H2OC

Anyone using a Lowrance H2OC? Just looked at them as they now accept the new NauticPath chart that I like so much. Cheaper than Garmin colour screens and with the chart you get the whole of the UK.

As always insanely priced if bought here compared to cousins from the US, now why is that?

Anyway, the only bind with it appears to be to get the meory card at you need to down power then remove the batteries. The rest looks similar in function to the Globalmap software I also like(ish)

This from the U.S.

Just had an email from a dealer in the US;

"We cannot get the units with Europe maps on them. Alos, Lowrance does nto allow us to ship international, if we do the units willnot be covered under warranty"

Interesting, I checked the price here and in the US for the iFinder Lowrance H2O the best here was £299 and the best in the states £116. Might have to talk to my dads cousin in California.

Is it legal to refuse a warranty claim on a "global" navigation system?
