Looking for a basic fish finder

As the title suggests I am looking for a basic fish finder for a lake boat, BW or colour. 12 v

Anything Garmin related. The black and white ones do exactly the same as the colour versions at a fraction of the price. Besides, you still need to catch the little devils. Bait is everything.

I had a basic garmin fish finder on my Orkney. It used to show fish when boat was sat on the trailer.


Good for depth but that was it.

Some folks have commented that one of the ten bob Chinese fishfinders seems to show fish displayed as if on a video loop... like a video game... regardless of what's under the boat.
