Icom plug adaptors

Does anyone know where I can get a threaded female plug that fits onto the male - 4 pin mini plug on the top of the M91 D handheld? (the plug that takes the speaker/mic unit)
Specifically ... I want to adapt that 4 pin to a threaded female minijack that would accept the male threaded hood minijack on the end of the PTT switch that is attached to my Gecko headset/mic combo.... (phew !)

Either someone that sells components like that or would make a cable up, but must be threaded plugs to preserve the waterproofness !!!

thanks in advance

I'm not 100% sure what you want, I think I know. A piccie/sketch might help. These are just up the road from me & what they don't know about radios ain't worth knowing. If you need me to call & liaise just let me know.

thanks fellas...

your right - pics make life a little easier when explaining, just snapped these with my phone so not great quality.
I am trying to plug this minijack (end of PTT switch/speaker line on Gecko) has threaded shroud....
into the input on the top of the M91D - again threaded to accept a threaded shroud.
I could butcher the cables if I get components, but would much prefer to have an adaptor /conversion lead.

I think the threaded aspect of the components is pretty important ref waterproofing.

Yep ...I can give Icom a shout - they were not particularly helpful on the stand at the Boat Show when I asked them about this, but maybe they were not the best peeps to talk to.
Andy

cheers

Hi, sry to bump this old thread but i really need som help with my Icom IC m91D.
Not much info online about headset to this unit.
I have m91d and bought OPC1392 adapter cable and HS-97 headsett.
I didn`t need the speeker to work but the headsett. Have tried other headsett but can`t get any sound out of it.
Also, the volum/squelch button doesn`t work when any headsett is plugged in.
Any help on this would be awesome.

Well, i did send them couple of emails, but no answer in return.
Not sure their contact in sweden is up for the task.
And its hard to explain over the phone in a foreign language what one wants ;/
