Icom M71 Charging Issue

Hi

I have a problem with my handheld vhf an Icom M71. When I place it in the charger the LED flashes orange/green. I can’t find any reference to this in the manual as it says it should be orange till the unit is charged then green when charged. Has anyone else had any similar problems or know what this means? The charger has worked fine in the past.

Thanks

Hi,

Flashing led like this indicates a deceased battery.

Could it be a bad connection that is causing it. My bluetooth headset and my cordless phone both do the same - it's when the unit isn't sitting correctly in the cradle - maybe worth a check???

Send a message via MSN to Jon Brooks
As Geoff said, it indicates the battery is dead or about to die.

Time for a new one!

Cheers
