IC M601 & Garmin 182c

To save me an hour or so of reading and messing around on Monday morning does anybody have the set up for the Garmin.

A couple of freebie trips as way of saying thanks up for grabs.

Cheers

John

GPS: Under the 'comm' tab set the correct port to NMEAIn/NMEAout. Under advanced, settings should be off, off, off, 4 digits, names.

I think theres also a NMEAout menu option on the radio that might need toggling.

Cables for Com1
Garmin Tx1 (Blue) -> ICOM NMEAOUT+
Garmin Rx1 (Brown) -> ICOM NMEAIN+
or for Com2...
Garmin Tx2 (Green) -> ICOM NMEAOUT+
Garmin Rx2 (White) -> ICOM NMEAIN+

ICOM NMEAOUT- and NMEAOUT- should be connected to the same ground the gps is connected to. You'll have to look at the diagram in the manual

thanks

DJL,

Much appreciated. I had a few minutes in work this morning and your strings worked first time and saved me an hour of reading on Monday. As promised please do take up on a couple of free tickets whenever you have chance... just give me a bell or call the office and explain the sit. Or if you cant make it then if at one of the shows and we have a 10m there I will arrange for you to have a good blast on the wheel.

John B...... yep I agree ..... peace is ensured (for now !!!).

Cheers

John
