Getting cables to bow lockers

Hi,

I'm considering options for mounting loudspeakers in my boat.
I would like to get some speaker cable from the console of my rib to the front lockers. There is no under floor trunking going to the bow and I don't want to cut an access hatch in the deck. Is there any electricians trick to route cables to the bow? This would about 3ft from the console wiring deck access point. (4in down pipe in this instance)

If it can't be done without major surgery I will consider other speaker locations but these seem to be the preferred location if the boat is built with audio specified.

Thanks in advance.

Oscar

What access have you got in the bow, I'm presuming your willing or already have holes in the deck for the wires?
If so you can get draw wires which are designed for pushing down trunking. You could use a tape measure then tape the wires on and pull it back up....

I've seen this stuff used successfully in a RIB to do exactly what you're trying to do. You can sikaflex it down:

Any way of getting it to the toob - hull joint? There's a perfect cable route along there in most ribs.

You might nee dto take it aft with the engne cables to bring it back forward again for neatness?)

Are you sure you really need speakers in the bow lockers, why not simply fit a couple of speakers (waterproof) to the front bow side of helm console, a couple to the rear of helm console and a couple in the rear bench seat, many boat audio systems allow for multizone volume/music combo's. Might be simpler.

I am running some 20mm conduit to my anchor locker but not decided on its use yet. Just decided to do it during the rebuild.
Anyway I have some sparky's super rods which are ideal for poking under the deck prior to running /routing cables. They are like miniature drain rods. I'm not sure if there are any bulkheads in your boat but there were none in mine that would have been in the way.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
I will investigate the toob joint option as that could be a runner. I might also be able to lift my decking (fake teak) and rout a channel out and then stuck it back down again.

Boris, I'm only consisting the bow lockers as that is where cobra are fitting them, but your suggestion makes a lot of sense.

Thanks again
