Dealers just been on, my HDS should be in today or tomorrow.

Engines there getting serviced at the minute so should be picking it up tomorrow and then getting on with fitting the unit.

Structure scan should hopefully be in as well.

Looking forward to trying it out.

I paid £449 for structure scan from our local dealer, they matched the price Marinescene were quoting.

HDS 10 looks fantastic but I've just got enough room on the console for the 8.

not at the mo.
i have mounted it on the top of my console, behind the screen.
did not want to cut the console to fit it!

the installation is simple, just a half dozen wires, and hey presto!

Bargain.

Will hopefully be installing mine tomorrow then straight out to give it a try.

Forecast not bad for tomorrow afternoon.

Starting to think about the addition of radar now, broadband range is 24nm I think. I'll see how I get on with the unit first.

Is that the price of the Elite Fishfinder or the HDS chartplotter?

Think its for the structure scan to add to HDS unit.

I got mine for £449 - structure scan - £1479 for HDS 8 plus another £221 for transducer and chart upgrade.

Might be able to get it for less on the net somewhere but happy to pay that from local Lowrance dealer, then if I do have any problems I can just nip in to get them sorted.

Went to collect boat from being serviced expecting to pick up my HDS 8 and structure scan, ordered weeks ago..... Lowrance have told the dealer they won't be able to release stock until 11 November due to software upgrade!

Unbelievable!

Had a look at the Lowrance broadband radar while I was there, looks impressive, tried the dome on my A frame and it doesn't look as bad as I thought. Might be worth while because I often end up heading back as its getting dark and I intend to keep going out over the winter months.

Only thing is, if I order it now it might take until spring to arrive.

Very disappointed with delivery delays.

frustrating!
have you spoken to lowrance? they may be able to track one down for you.
alternatively it may be better to wait for the upgraded unit if its only two weeks away.

a long two weeks though, when you waiting!

shows its a popular unit though!

No haven't spoken to Lowrance. The dealer got an email from them on Friday saying it was being dispatched that day so expected delivery was yesterday or today. They chased it up this afternoon and were told the unit would now not be available until 11 November.

Gutted.

Engines serviced though so heading out later for a quick run up the coast.

Collected HDS 8 yesterday, got home and it doesn't fit on the console.

I didn't take the extra depth in to consideration when I measured up and changed from 7 to 8.

Took it back but couldn't cope with waiting for a 7 so picked up an HDS 5 from stock. Probably should have done this in the first place!

Hope I haven't made a mistake?

The screen size is Ok I think but might be a bit small to add radar.

It was very easy to fit, screen size isn't as bad as I thought it would be, I do have to slow down to read the chart but so far I'm happy with it.

Very easy to use, split screens good and it fits my console.

Would have been nice to have a larger screen.

Fitted the structure scan as well, it really is amazing.

Screen quality is very good, very clear.

Hope this helps.

Hi There

Havent done anything at this juncture as I am still in the throws of my refurbishment at the moment. I am nearly there and while I have a heated garage I would like the ambient tempature to be a little warmer before I flowcoat the deck.

Thanks
