Electric pump?

Hi guys, looking to get an electric pump for my sib exel SD365. So far I've seen the bravo bst 12 pump, can anyone else recommend anything that would happily do the job, either to the vans battery or a 12v. Much appreciated

I found these little chaps useful. Will work with water or diesel.
Larger sizes available and have an on/off switch.

Martin I'm assuming you have the HP air floor Excel model??

There are really only two electric pump options, one of the HP Bravo models or a Sevylor. Note you do need a pump that will reach 1bar.

The Sevylor is used by a few folks on here and so far for half the price or less of a Bravo it has had good reports. It's flow rate is lower than the best Bravos so will be slower to fill the tubes initially. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/12v-15-p...d_8335515.html

Many folks on here us the HP bravo pumps. Here is one example... http://www.marinescene.co.uk/product...inflation-pump

There are several different models in the Bravo HP range. The cheapest is double the Sevylor price but also has a low flow rate. The best ones at and above £100 are dual stage so have a high initial output that fills the tube then switches to HP for the final pressure.

I have the digital twin stage Bravo and I've had my value from it but you do have to be aware many have found they only last a few years if used for daily inflation. Mechanical breakage of the pump or electronic faults relating to pressure setting have been known.

At about 5yrs old mine is just starting to fault on the electronic pressure setting side so may replace for next season. I will probably try the Sevylor if it's still £40.

Just one little point. The Bravos draw too much current for most cigar lighter sockets so you need to clip directly to the car battery. Like many I also have a stand alone small alarm type battery (12ah, about £16 on Ebay) to use the pump when the car isn't nearby.

Finally I am sensitive to others at some of our scenic launch locations and the Bravo is so noisy when it gets to the HP stage I use the supplied footpump in that situation.

Hi mate thanks for the post, I've actually got the aluminium flooring so could probably get away with a slightly less powerful pump? I'll only be inflating once every week or 2 when I manage to get out. Will look into the ones you mentioned though much appreciated

Ahhh OK that helps as you only need a LP pump which opens up cheaper options. As you don't need the HP side of things just look at the best balance of air flow output vs cost.

Sorry about my post.
I thought you wanted to pump stuff out rather than pump stuff in!

For high volume, low pressure I found the Rule LVM inflator very good.

It's compact and fast, but draws something like 25 amps so needs a decent battery.

I use the Rule high speed pump. Had it 5 years with no problem. They are about £60.

Try the Sevylor SUP pump if you don't want to spend megabucks. It'll do 15psi as well. You can't chuck it about like a Bravo though.

Forgot to say it runs quite happily from a car cigarette lighter socket too unlike the Bravos.

I have a Rule inflator - works off 12v battery connected by crocodile clips. It's a cracking job!
