DSC radios to go with Lowrance LMS-335c plotter

Hi chaps

I've bought myself an LMS-335c plotter from the States.

I've yet to buy a radio, so I want to make sure I get one which interfaces properly with the Lowrance.

Obviously the most important thing is for the plotter to tell the radio exactly where I am in the case of an emergency. I'd also really like the ability to set another boat's location as a waypoint. Would this be possible? I guess each device would need a GPS in and GPS out connector for this to work?

Sorry - I'm a bit clueless about DSC at the moment!

Any DSC radio will interface with your kit.
That is one of the main ideas, it should all work together.
Most problems are caused by the plotter/GPS not being set up correctly.
There are very few interfacing problems that are due to the radio.

Icom would be your best choice but hey i would say that!

In a more serious light...
Have a look on our website, there is some good info there on DSC the how's and why's.

You will also find a great article in Rib Int Mag this month.

Hope that all helps

Hi there. Thanks for that.

I'm currently leaning towards a M421 - if only because seeing your current position on the radio looks cool
