It's a systemcheck Commander Tachometer for Evinrude and Johnson DI series of engines. It might work on ETEC's but I'm not sure.

Hope that helps a bit.

RIBase
It "should" work with etecs, they are backward compatible with older style instruments. Up to a couple of years ago, etecs were still supplied with the old style gauges in the States, I-command was an optional extra.
I'm not sure if that is a genuine BRP/Evinrude gauge though, it could be an after market. In which case ignore my first comment.

I don't think mine has any BRP/Evinrude decals on the card and looks exactly like the one in the picture so perhaps that's not a genuing one either

Mine is a genuine one supplied with my E-TEC 115 and it has no Evinrude/BRP decals on the front but came in a Evinrude box with part no. on and a BRP manual.

Hello Keith,

Do you have a chance to send the manual to me as a copy.
I bought my boat last year in England.

best regards
Jürgen

Random thread resurrection..!!

I have just had one of these installed to replace one that had stopped functioning, but the old one lit up (from memory a red/pinkish glow) when I put the nav lights on, and this one doesn't. All the other gauges on the console up, although they have a yellow back-light in each case.

The people that installed it say they literally replaced it like for like and have no idea why this is the case!!

Any ideas? I navigate a lot at night and need a full set of gauges I can see!!
