Carbon fibre effect panels

Im after getting hold of a small bit of carbon fibre effect panelling, my main vhf radio needs repairing so im temporarlity putting in an old unit which is smaller and hence need to make some form of blanking panel to fit the old unit into a bigger hole.

The place where I had the dashboard done in carbon fibre effect are being less than helpful (ribshop) as they obviously dont manufacture it there I simply wanted to know where I could source a small amount from, seemed reasonable considering the amount of money I had spent with them over the years...but they wont tell me ... they would rather source it, make up a simple panel and charge me ... nice .....ho hum, wont be using them anytime soon.

so does anyone know of where I can get a small amount of carbon fibre effect panel in the south. ? only needs to be about 200mm by 102mm and probably about 3mm thick.

If it's only temporary, notwithstanding it needing to be Gucci imitation carbon fibre, you could make it in any old plastic & have it wrapped in CF effect vinyl.

You're probably better off doing what you did than trying to cut and work carbon fibre panels.
What I did with it when I was making light surrounds on the Ballistic put me off anything other than laying it up forever. Cutting it is like exposing yourself to the itchiness of old glass fibre loft insulation cubed. The dust is evil and I found I had to heat the edge of the cut to make it polish and chamfer properly after, or it looked awful.
