Budget VHF for interior use?

Hi all.

As per title, need to replace a VHF in our clubhouse. If I were getting one for my boat, it'd be high-spec Icom or other such, however this is just a budget VHF that will never see the elements.

Any cheap and cheerful recommendations?

I’d probably go with the same brand you have - lower learning curve for people to bugger up the squelch etc. might not be in the elements but probably sees more use than your average domestic user and perhaps with less care?

And does it need programmed with private channels?

Thanks for the advice.

Went with a Cobra as found one at a decent price here in Eire so no Brexit tax!
