Bravo BST 12 Battery

I am thinking of buying a Bravo BST 12 Battery operated air pump for my Fastroller. Has anybody any experience of the longer term effect of use on the battery. I think it is lead acid, and hence am concerned that it may not last more than a couple of years without suffering memory effect of just die!

Has anybody had any experience in replacing the battery. Where do you get the replacements, and any idea of the rough costs.

I use our sib with a 9.8hp 2 stroke Tohatsu as our water taxi from my sailing yacht, but have to partially deflate it each time we move the yacht to make it fit onto the davits. Then we re-inflate again when we stop to anchor. Hence I need a pump that is mobile without having wires from the service battery bank.

Any advice will be appreciated.

I have one and the battery did give out after a couple of years of abuse and neglect. It was relatively inexpensive to replace though and only a 5 minute job to do it.

Many thanks for your information. Do you remember how much the replacement battery cost and where you bought it?

Usually just a case of getting the model number on the actual battery and punching into google/eBay. They're usually surprisingly cheap for most things, I've replaced a number of different battery operated compressors/lamps/sprayers over the years and they're not expensive !
