Blue Sea Weather deck labels

Hello Ribsters,

A quick tinternet search showed me that Mega Marine of Hamble can sell individual Blue Sea switch lables by mail order at only 53p each, great I thought as I need two of them for my weather deck switch pannel.

http://www.marinemegastore.com/find.asp

I proceeded to place my order, 035 Achor light and 327 Nav light, as you proberbly know these lables are smaller than a postage stamp.

I completed my order thro to the check out wearing a big grin until the postage cost popped up £6.95. I feel this is way too expensive for the cost of an evelope and second class stamp and for the time that it takes to pick the order.

Can anybody point me in the right direction of where to get them without being ripped off on postage? If anybody has spares of the above for sale please get in touch.

It's more than likely just an error on the site. Give them a bell or email and I'm sure they will sort it out. If not then they are Harry Bunts!

I spoke with them this afternoon using their excellent "call you back" service.

I told the dude "no way was I paying that postage". After 5 mins on the phone the guy told me he could cut the post to £4.99.

I laughed and told him that his call back must have already cost mega marine more than a reasonable postage cost.....madness

RW, Thats very kind of you.

According to their website above they are available individually at 53p each. They are for the weather deck type switches, label Number 035, Anchor light and 327 Nav Lights.

If you are passing please could get them for me, that would be great but please dont go out of your way.

Let me know here or pm me when/if you get them and I will sought you out with the payment and a SAE.

I LOVE THE POWER OF RIBNET.

Good wind up

Did that fkkn David Manning put you up to this

Well I duly went to the Marine Megastore for a perception altering experience. I was all my fault cos I thought Marine Megastore was gonna be like the Marine Superstore only bigger. Wrong!

I went to the building with the marine megastore sign on and thought funnee there's no windows, this is because it was on the upstairs part of a unit. So I went in to the doorway to be confronted with a box and bubble wrap strewn hallway...bit like my house! Anyway we went up the stairs to be puzzled by a total lack of Marine Megastore but a just a packing house really. What the operation seems to be is a forwarder. So you buy the kit from them they call it from their suppliers warehouse and send it on to you. I don't have a problem with this But the website led me to believe it was a large chandlery

This would explain the delivery charge it would also explain why they didn't not have no nothing in stock. Itwould also explain the callback phone service

Anyway, the place was run by three 18 year olds, who's Mum need to send em to bed without any tea if they don't tidy their business premises.

I went down to Aquafax afterward and ordered a pile of stuff including some weatherdeck panels when it arrives I'll send you the labels.

Sorry it`s gone a bit Pete Tong Stu, things are never as straight forward as they may first seem. It appears to be a bit of a dodgy outfit that Marine Megastore.

Anyway thanks for ordering from another supplier. Has the SAE arrived at your place yet?

it's no problem, i was just confused that the marine megastore didn't have a megastore, i guess I'm just old fashioned. The funny thing was that the nippers were quite helpful suggested I go to Aquafax, from whence I had just came, for anything to do with Blue Sea. I'll send you the tie wraps in your SAE and the labels which will be with me on Tuesday
