thanks

Thank you Solent Ranger, it sounds like a move in the right direction, wonder if there will be a final push to get some funds in or dont they have the man/womanpower to do the inspections.

So, in summary...

Up 'till September 30th 2006 - no change to current system.

From October 1st 2006 OFCOM will issue "lifetime" licenses which will be F.O.C. for electronic (internet) applications.

And if your current (or future) license expires after 30th October 2006, OFCOM will post your new "lifetime" license to you F.O.C.

Sounds like good news to me.

*!*!*!* I have three that expire in the two months before. And I suppose I will have to relicence in order to keep the mmsi's. Never mind it should be the last year I have to pay then. I wonder if I'll get a refund for twenty odd years of paying
