Alternator pulse

How can I find out what pulse setting I should use for my tachometer?
It's on a 1990 2 Stroke Yamaha 85hp (85AET)

Also with 703 control box is it the green wire or the yellow that carries the pulse?

Turn the knob or change drop down pins until the proper reading is displayed.

Tachometer is green.

Teleflex tacho instructions tell you most engines.

It's on their website. Left me USB stick at home today or I could have told you....

Hmm having read your response I just tried.

Looks like they've mucked about with their website..... At least I remembered my USB stick today!

Based on the Teleflex Tacho guide, looks like yours should be a 12 pole (i.e set the switch to "6").
