1970s Yamaha 55am charging system

Hi folks, Ive got an old 1970s yamaha 55hp.

Currently I'm trying to sort out the charging system, it has had a new charging coil and voltage rectifier so it takes in AC from the coil and outputs a DC voltage... Issue I'm having is the DC Voltage from the rectifier can go from 7VDC to 70VDC depending on RPM of the engine. I am looking for a solution to be able to charge an onboard battery at 13.8VDC. I have looked at loads of voltage rectifiers but none seem to specify wether they can take constant changing voltage.

Any help is appreciated, I trust your knowledge is better than mine!
