Yamaha ME421STI turbo oil feed pipe

Close one today, almost killed my engine as I’d lost 90% of my engine oil through a split turbo oil feed pipe.

Would a braided hose be a better option to use rather than the sold metal pipe?
Less stress or cracking with vibrations and a lot easier to fit as it’s flexible?

Also does anyone have a part number for the thermostat housing that sits just below the turbo? Is it a landcruiser part I can get from euros or is it a marine part?

Thanks

I'm assuming the water elbow you need bolts to the exhaust manifold? In which case its not toyota as the manifold is totally different.
The oil pipe is a common thing to fail, easy to re braze the old ends onto an appropriate pipe & bend to shape. Most manufacturers seem to use hard pipe to feed their turbos so I assume there is a reason so I think I'd stick with hard pipe. I'd imagine its awkward to get a thicker flexi hose in and secured so it doesnt chafe as its a tight area.
I might have a used turbo feed pipe & the elbow, post or pm me a picture & I'll check

Can’t upload a picture for some reason.
I don’t need the elbow.
It’s the thermostat housing - where it bolts to the block that gasket.

Got part numbers from catalog but a quick search on google returns nothing

Send me a pm & I'll send you an email address or watsap no I've probably got the housing you need
Parts are thin on the ground now but Yamaha dealers can still get some parts
