Nice Yamaha 75hp 2-stroke on Ebay. Bit pricey for a 5-year old engine, even if it is mint.

I reckon the price is spot on for this Yam, One of the most reliable 2 stroke engines in the market place. A bargain for £3500 providing it all checks out OK

Its an Ex RNLI one, so probably one of the Spare engines.

IOM isn't the easiest places to get to, might explain why he hasn't sold it yet.

I looked at this myself last year, but the ferry there and back plus the fuel to get down to Liverpool didn't make it worth-while. The dealer (quite rightly) won't dispatch by freight, it's strictly uplift only.

Why is that "quite rightly", I have done a few "remote" deals on OB and boats, if/when paying in advance risk is pretty much on the buyer, not on the seller?

Only because the dealer offers a warranty with most of his second-hand outboards. But given that uplift is a logistical nightmare, it would be difficult to exercise the warranty if you're off the island.

OK, fair enough. If I would definitely want that engine, would sign a waiver regarding the warranty, suppose then the seller would not mind what ever delivery option would be used. But can imagine the freight is not cheap.
