Winter storage

Newbie question: storing my 5.1m on the drive, do I leave the Yamaha 80hp trimed horizontal(ish) or leave it vertical over winter?

Service Costs

So I'm getting my 80hp Yamaha serviced and winterised - first time I've done this.
What sort of price should I expect (I know there are a lot of variables) just to give me an idea please?

Is it in warranty? if so, about £500. If out of warranty, about £400.

How is it £500! A full dealer service on a 250hp supercharged ski is £200

https://www.yamaha-waverunner.co/servicing/

And why does “warranty” add £100?

I would be changing my dealer, robbing James Hunts at those prices.

I've never understood people that say this - the only way you might be able to tell is to take the leg off and inspect the impeller (even then I'm not sure you can really tell)... if you've gone to that trouble are you not as well just replacing it?

Absolutely. And even if it's pumping well today, they do harden with age and crack. I think annual replacement that some people do is a bit excessive, but a periodic replacement is decent insurance.
