Which prop?

Currently have a Searider 4.7 with 60hp Mercury 4stroke. It has a 12' prop on it but it is really slow to get on to the plane. Which pitch do you recommend?

Guess prop recommendations are not good, you must install an induction tach on engine, with you alone with a light boat on a glass flat calm sea, with well trimmed engine apply full wot. Check achieved max rpm and compare them against wot factory stated min and max wot rpm for than engine. Then you can play with prop pitches all day long to optimize engine best performance. The wot test is to know how much under or over proppeedd you are with current prop.

Happy Boating
