Which gear oil

The 80w90 is what you need - pick a decent marine brand like Quicksilver:

Use fresh fibre washers after the change - old washers can fail and allow water ingress.

You should be able to get Hypoid EP90 in 1L cans from any good motor factor.

That's the best advice.

Plus, if you use the tubes of Quicksilver gear lube you can do it without having to pay out for a gear oil pump. Just squeeze it in through the bottom hole til it comes out of the top.
