Whats this worth ? Honda 2hp

Trying to find a selling value for my Honda 2hp 4stroke outboard,
its a 2001 year which I bought new in July 2002, it is in "as new condition" being only used about 5 hours & stored covered with dust sheets inside mounted on wall bracket ( fully winterized ) when not used.
Starts on first or second pull.

so how much is it worth ?

I was thinking between £ 200 > £ 300 !!!

On Ebay an easy £275 for the outboard and perhaps a £25 premium for those neat lawn edges and the smart bench.... it all helps sell!

Edit: Just seen the added pics of the manuals/tools add another £15-£25!!

Sadolin Classic Redwood ( the green tin ) 3 coats last week

If it's a 2001 model, how come it's got 2006 on the cover then? New cover?

Common misconception

I forget the number of people who say "it's a 2006" when in fact it's 3,4,5 years older. Very frustrating.

That decal relates to emission control regulations. 4 strokes had to conform to new standards as from 2006, as Honda were already meeting the standards with earlier models they started putting these stickers on their motors to "show off" the fact they conformed years in advance of others. Great pre 2006 but now it's a nightmare for the 2nd hand Market! Buyer beware if your told it's 2006 think again and check for yourself on the plate as shown in these pics! It could be as old as 2000.

its a short shaft model, 15"

I will be over in Cardiff on the w/e Fri 12th Aug > Sun 14th Aug ( but on a tight timetable )
so I will PM you next week if I decide to sell the o/b.

has not been used since the original post, just run in test tank & winterized etc... for a number of personal reasons I did not try to sell it until now.

Hi, its still worth £250 - £275 even though the 2.3 hp slightly fetch more (for the life of me i dont know why honda built an engine .3 hp bigger!!)

its worth 275-300 private and 225-250 for the trade. we sell these new ( well the 2.3 ) at just over 550 inc vat with a 6 year warranty. Great engine and you will have lots of buyers due to the weight
