I bought 2 cans of XD100 yesterday which are only 4Ltrs.. I paid £34+VAT each. £80 total. An Etec progged to run on XD100 is supposed to use less thus off-setting the extra cost over the XD50.

thats not a bad price , they are certainly correct about not using much my 90 is very frugal with the stuff . In fact i reckon its using less oil than a 4 stroke taking regular oil changes into account .

Good, Mine yomped the 1st can full. Etecs double the oil input for the 1st 2 hours of running in. We'll see how much it uses from now on. She's on 13.8hrs now.

That's rich coming from an Opti owner!! You and Brad were communicating via smoke signal.

She's now had a 35mm jack, so look out!

There is someone selling cases of 6 gallons on ebay in the US. the carriage is about £100 but even with this you save about £7 a gallon.

Mollers, if you are finding the Rib Raider to be a bit on the crap side then Vtronics also do a 1 meter Wip which is the same base as the Raider so you could easily swap over, I know Matt H did this and had good results.

Iam sure they do but it seems to be best kept secret in boating .

Iam not too bothered because the xd100 price is much the same as other top end 2 stroke oils and cheaper than many of the top brands .
