weak spark
Hello,
I'm having a bit of trouble starting an old yamaha 15hp outboard. Being new to outboards, can I expect to get a nice fat blue spark on a manual start motor, after all its just my puny white arm supplying the power? At the moment I'm getting a pissy weak yellow spark.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to change the points and consersors but I am just after a bit of reassurance that I'm on the right track before I go and splash out on a flywheel puller and all the bits.
I think I've just convinced myself to do it anyway while writing this as its going to have to get done sooner or later.
Advice on the spark strength is still welcome though.
