Water Seperator

I currently have a CAV 296 "diesel" filter on the boat of which is leaking and is quite corroded.

As these were a cheap alternative back in the day are they still considered ok for use as a petrol water separator (IIRC there were issues with the paint dissolving).

If not what is recommended for a 50 Hp. Cheaper the better as I still have to spend money on engine, electrics, trailer rollers, wheel bearings, life jackets, flares, radio, girlfriend, holiday etc etc etc

Many thanks

Hyphose sell them as a Parker retailer but be warned for online price is not what you pay in a shop and the snap on holder is extra on top of filter from them. Proper con
