Verado 275

Interested in any first hand experience of this engine. Pros and cons. Real world performance and feedback including the DTS system. How does the power steering feel? Are the SC1000 guages useful? How is fuel consumption? Acceleration. Yep, the complete rundown.

I am having my engine delivered in March and will be having both DTS foot- and remote controls.

On those two boats I have tried, the accelaration was very good and plenty of torque.

Have tried both Verado 225 hp and 250 hp and so far just good and I have full confidence in their range.

There is another thread on here recently giving consuming and comparison to other engines, the only thing I found was in the test Verado had smallest prop........... whether that has made difference I can not tell, but had far best consumption on cruising revs pr. mile.

First time I tried DTS my colleages had big laughs as I did start using the throttle like I used to do all the time resulting beeing a newbie driving manual shift car for first time...............

bogib, got your mail thanks.

Did you find the mid-range torque much better than anything else or just as good?

I have tried Evinrude 200 FICHT and ETEC and was selling them in the past with trouble making FICHT system and I did not find mid-range torque different from Verado to others. Have also tried Yamaha 250.

To feel the difference you would actualy need to try them all out in a row and that I haven´t so mainly based on memory and feeling.

i think your up against the british disese .

hate any one who is doing better than me .

its quite hard on here because of the vast spectrum of people and spendable incomes .

some folk rib on a shoe string and for some its there fith or sixth toy.
such is life, as showes in the coments on fuel.

when you spend £100k on a boat does it realy matter what it costs to run it.

i know of rib owners that can have a new £100k boat a day and thats out of there intrest only.
i also know those that there old searider means more than there mrs

we all got to live together

any way magnum dont give up on the site we need a few ribbers on here with sexy boats

i mean for welthy you only got to look @ dounuts
