Two Stroke Oil

I need to use 2 stroke oil in my Evinrude 75hp outboard

Being landlocked in Northampton a proper Chandlery is hard to find

My question is do I have to use special MARINE 2 stoke oil or can I use the 2 stroke oil that is sold at Halfords for lawnmowers and scooters

Unless your engine is tuned to use XD-100 evinrude heavy duty oil, you can use any tc-w3 marine oil.

Lawnmovers & scooters are generally TC-W2 2 stroke oil, for air refrigerated engines, don't use, will not lubricate engine properly. Any good 2 stroke oil brand TC-W3 will do.

Happy Boating

The chandlers at Billing Aquadrome have 2 stroke oil and the price is not bad.
