Tohatsu 8 2 Stroke Cowling Cover

Hi, I want to order a cowling cover for my 2 stroke Tohatsu 8 but I can't get to where it's stored at the moment. Is anyone going to be near their engine with a tape measure soon please? Thank you.

Ha ha sorry doing a massive report and concentrating on that. If no-one has given info in an hour or so I'll pull the covers off and measure.

The overall maximum "gross" dimensions are...

27cm wide, 44cm long, 21cm tall.

To refine it a bit...

The width is 20cm at each end but 27cm in the middle. The length is 44cm at the base but only 37cm at the top mainly as the front slopes back. The height is 20cm min and 21cm max.

To be sure these are correct for you the images below are of the cowl I measured. I assume same model.

No problem. Good excuse to pull the covers off the motor and give it a first start of the season. Last running 8mths ago and fuel (E5 plus stabiliser) 10mths old.

Fired 3rd pull. Choke in after a minute and settled to a steady idle pumping like a good un. Great little motors.
