Tightening up the choke

Had a grand day yesterday going over to piel Island from Fleetwood, water was a bit lumpy but not too bad. From Piel I went about 5Nm out into the Irish Sea and got into some rougher seas, very short swells with horses tales on top. Couldn't respond quick enough with the throatle a few times and got the prop out of the water. After about hlaf an hour of this and getting back in to calm water I noticed the smell of my Yam running Rich. With all that bouncing and slamming the choke and worked it's way out.

IS there anyway of tightening the choke up so it can't come out on it's own?

There will be a screw somewhere on one of the linkages. Alternatively a rubber band / spring / bungee suitablty placed will hold it in "open" position & still allow you to use it. Probably best to anchor it on the manual lever section so the elec one still does it's job when you hit the switch.
