The average speed of all those miles is likely to be in the range of 35-40mph. Therefore the hours are around 2650!
Come on all the big outboard producers, the time for a Diesel outboard has arrived and first to market could make a killing

well my 2.5 pdi t5 done 180 k and one autogearbox one erg valve, bought new chipped since last year to 160 hp, back tyers last 93 k front 60k did have problems with my 312 sprinter at 235 k and sold it when bought my t5 new

yes i was on about my vw van ! just after few on here say newish car no good, i just think that if you treat it well, you got half chance, back to outboards, am sure yam could do toyota block on 250, that would weigh no more than there 300/350 might not be good for 7/8 mt rib, but on wide beam 8.5 weighing 1000 kg plus fuel it sit happy at 25/30 knts, and most be happy burning 15 lph i would say
thourghts ?

ps my van engine is used on boats to 150 hp via merk black thing (mercuiser...)

used diesel outboards in Ireland fishing. 20hp tiller steering, and absolutely gutless.....and the right arm was still shaking so much I couldnt keep the black stuff in the glass at night.
